Stefanie Plattner is a film director and producer, and Managing Director of Storming Donkey Productions, which she founded in 2012.
She is also a trained actor and worked in Berlin for several years in theater and film productions.
As Managing Director of Storming Donkey, she developed the multi award winning feature film Hördur, directed by Ekrem Ergün, which amongst others, won Best Children’s Film by the German Film Critics Association in 2015 at the Berlinale Film Festival.
She has since released several feature films and documentary films with Storming Donkey which have premiered at internationally renowned festivals such as the Berlinale, the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival, and the SXSW Film Festival in Austin.
In addition to commercial film production Stefanie operates the non-profit organization Tales Of Us, which is an ongoing multimedia series that offers a new approach to communicating the urgency of protecting the world’s most powerful and fragile ecosystems and the people who call them home.
Her Debut film, a short called “The Little Fish and the Crocodile” , which she directed for the above mentioned purpose won several international highly acclaimed awards amongst others at the Chicago International Children´s Film Festival as best live action short.
